About

Years ago, when my daughter started riding, I realized that I needed something to keep busy with to not stress her out at the shows. So I picked up a camera and started shooting. For seven years, I shot my daughter and the girls she competed with, perfecting the art. Then in 2023, under my daughter's urging that my passion could be something more, I started CJ's Snapshots.

My goal was to make professional-quality photos accessible to everyone. I pride myself on keeping my costs low and my quality high. I adore the horses and love watching my daughter and everyone around her compete. I also adore photography and realized that my time and effort are worth the rates we charge. If my passion can help other riders feel professional and give me a little side income for these creatures that eat away at my bank account, that's all I ask for.

While horses are our specialty, don't be shy to ask us about other photo shoot opportunities. We love to help our local community by shooting at fundraising events, and you may also catch us at lacrosse games, track and field events, or even a soccer field. See our portfolio to understand a bit more about what we do.

Cari Cusinato

Founder and Head Photographer

Cari founded CJ's Snapshots in 2023 to pursue her passion for photography. She has been shooting photos most of her life but started pursuing it professionally when her eldest got into sports at age 7. She aims to make professional-quality photos available to those on even the tightest budget. A lover of animals and most sports, she hides her competitive side behind the camera and specializes in catching all the little moments.

Ripley Cusinato

M&M Specialist

Ripley is Cari Cusinato's eldest daughter and CJ's Snapshots resident equestrian. She is the head of media and marketing but also helps with the editing after larger horse shows to fast forward the turnaround process. Her understanding of what equestrians look for is key to CJs Snapshots success. She understands what it is to be a rider on a budget and wants to help others like her make those once-in-a-lifetime experiences more tangible for all riders.
